A large-scale n-tier .NET Windows Forms smart-client Practice Management
System for a private provider of mental health services to government agencies.
Project Deliverables
Intrepid provided requirements gathering and project specification, all software
engineering and database architecture and design, UI designs often derived from
as little as brief phone conversations with the client; incorporation of HIPAA compliance
into the overall system design; design and development of the role-based security
subsystem; design and development of the 150 SQL Server tables, 450-plus stored
procedures and 40-plus user defined functions; entire project built using the .NET Framework
1.1, C#, ADO.NET, Web Services over SSL, and SQL Server 2000.
Project Summary
Large-scale ASP.NET-based commercial real-estate intranet application for a large
East coast real estate concern.
Project Deliverables
Software architecture and all middle-tier component design including the shared
architecture components for data access, authentication and authorization, caching,
and encryption; provided training and mentoring for team members converting from
traditional ASP and VB client-server technologies to the .NET platform; developed
UI and middle-tier components (C#), SQL Server 2000 stored procedures (T-SQL); and
project deployment scripts.
Project Summary
Mentoring and staff augmentation for a C# .NET-based mobile Tablet PC application
for the field sales reps of a major distributor of medical products.
Project Deliverables
Design of initial Web Services API for the project; data scrubbing and keyword extraction
utility for generation of handwriting recognition dictionary for the .NET tablet
ink APIs; design and development of custom dual-mode (keyboard and handwriting)
user interface elements for use by other developers on the project; general mentoring
and debugging support for the team.
Project Summary
.NET-based Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) utility used as an adjunct to a larger post
staffing application for the military.
Project Deliverables
Designed and developed application to extract, transform (clean), and load data
supplied in Excel format. Application displayed the input, the detected errors and
the proposed export; exported to SQL Server at user request. Project designed/developed/delivered
ahead of schedule and under budget
Project Summary
Intrepid assisted Chesterfield County Information Systems Technology in the partial
redesign and repair of a VB.NET/SQL Server-based application for a court system
drug-test tracking application.
Project Deliverables
Analysis of existing design, proposal of fewest design changes to achieve stated
goals, implementation of some changes and mentoring and oversight of remainder performed
by Chesterfield IT staff.
Project Summary
Analysis of an existing large-scale VB6/Oracle-based insurance policy tracking and
quoting system for the purpose of proposing a transition from VB6 to VB.NET.
Project Deliverable
Developed initial Business Logic Layer (BLL) and Data Access Layer (DAL) components
and converted a small portion of the overall application user interface to use the
.NET-based BLL and DAL in order to demonstrate appropriate use of n-tier components
in .NET. Provided hand-off documents to customers permanent staff.
