Yes, provided the custom application has been developed using the tools and technologies in which Intrepid specializes, in particular the Microsoft .NET platform. We also maintain close relationships with partner firms that specialize in other technologies and would be happy to refer you if the technology fit is not there.

Upon delivery and acceptance of the custom software (the "intellectual property") and payment of any outstanding balance due, Intrepid will deliver to you or your designee the complete set of files (referred to as the "build tree") for your project. Our goal is to keep you as customer due to our integrity, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile, not by retaining the "keys" needed to transfer the project to others should you so desire.

For those unfamiliar with revenue sharing development, it simply means that Intrepid would develop an application for a reduced cost or possibly absorb all of the development cost in exchange for a share (percentage) of the revenue stream produced by the application. A ready example of this type of arrangement is Apples' AppStore. In this case, developers produce, for example, an application for the iPhone. Contingent on acceptance by Apple, that application would then find its way to the AppStore. Apple and the developer would subsequently share the revenue from sales of the application.

Our position is, if you are Apple or a similarly well-established, well-known entity with a track record of successfully marketing custom applications, then yes, we would be willing to engage in a revenue sharing arrangement. Otherwise, we prefer to do an excellent job of developing and supporting your custom application using our customary fee-for-services model with you enjoying all of the return should the application become an overwhelming success.
